	Almak Screw Quality : Each thermoplastic screw needs a different pitch width and depth. Our design Office does the screw calculations, design, and manages to provide high efficiency and quality melt screws. • Single Screws ( Injection , Extrusion ) • Double Screws ( Co and Counter rotating ) • High capacity special design single screws (Bar or Maillefer Design) Screw material selection : The Standard screw material employed is 1,8509 (41CrAlNo7) or 1.8550(34CrAlNi7) nitrating steel. Alternatively 1,2379 cold work tool steel is used. The customer is provided with the quality certificate of the material used and thermal treatment analysis report. Screw Dimensions: • Diameter: 20 – 250 mm • Length : 200 – 6000 mm Thermal treatment : 900 – 1000 HV surface hardness and 0,5 mm depth of hardness provided by the special reaction with Nitrogen (N) and Ammoniac (NH3 ) gases in special ovens lasting 72 hours.
